INSIGHTS FROM A TAX ACCOUNTANTVenture Finance

I want investment from venture capital firms...
I want a bank loan without a personal guarantee from the company representative…
I want a grant...

There are many ways to address cash-flow problems. Investment from angel investors and venture capital firms, in particular, signals that professional investors see growth potential in the company.

Some startups that have built good investor relationships have achieved dramatic growth following advice from those investors.

We also see cases where a conventional small or medium-sized business develops a new business line, becomes a venture company, and attracts venture capital investment.

For those who want to avoid cash flow problems when it matters or aim for an IPO, this newsletter explains the basics of venture finance through real examples.

Newsletter Content

The newsletter generally follows this format.

1. This Week's Capital Strategy Analysis
2. Bank Loan and Grant Information for Startups and Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
3. Editor's Note

Each week, we feature one venture company attracting attention.

We analyze the capital policies of startups announcing fundraising and venture businesses that have gone public, using securities registration statements and other disclosures. We then infer why those capital policies were chosen, what attracted investors, and how funds were raised. Explaining technical terms in plain language, we help you picture how you might raise funds from investors.

We also share information on bank borrowing and grants useful to startups and small and medium-sized businesses.

Use it to find ideas for your company's cash flow and fundraising!

If you find the ideas helpful but cannot see how to manage cash flow or raise funding, we also announce seminars and courses at half-price participation fees. These sessions take a practical approach to working through your cash flow and fundraising together.
