Choose How to Begin
Use our free email inquiry to ask whether we can advise on a topic or which service suits you. We will review your message and explain whether we can help and how to proceed. If your question requires a specific tax judgment, we will suggest a paid consultation.
If you would like to speak directly right away, you can book a paid individual consultation. Entrepreneur consultations are JPY 33,000 for 60 minutes; domestic and international tax consultations are JPY 55,000 for 60 minutes. Enter the details of your matter and pay by card, then we will arrange the date by email. You can choose online or in person.
Where consumption tax applies, it is included in the displayed price. Where export exemption applies, the full displayed amount is the consultation fee. Your total payment remains the same in either case.
Inquiries about advisory agreements, M&A brokerage, training, and speaking engagements are free. We explain the next steps according to the service.
We clarify your circumstances and recommend next steps
Our principal and tax accountant, Kenji Yanagisawa, listens to you directly. In paid consultations, we generally identify the issues and propose a direction within 60 minutes. If further documents or detailed research are needed, we explain that as well.
If the consultation resolves your questions and clarifies your next action, that can be the end of the engagement. If continuing support is needed, we explain options suited to your wishes, such as an advisory agreement or an individual project.
We Provide a Quotation for the Scope and Fees
For ongoing support, our quotation sets out what we will do, its extent, required materials, how the work will proceed, and fees. If costs or timing depend on the scope, we explain those conditions too.
The individual consultation fee does not include ongoing work. Additional services proceed only after you have reviewed the scope and fees.
Agreement and Work Begin Once You Are Satisfied
We explain the scope, fees, and contract terms and enter the agreement once you are satisfied. We identify your contact person, communication methods, and required documents, then begin work in line with the agreement.
Certified tax accountant services, including tax consultations and ongoing tax advice, are provided by Yanagisawa International Tax & Accounting Office. Non-tax consulting, including entrepreneur support and M&A-related services, is provided by Yanagisawa Research Institute Co., Ltd. We clearly identify your contracting entity according to the work requested.
