I want to use tax havens effectively to reduce my taxes…
But fear of the tax authorities keeps me from moving forward…
In fact, a substantial proportion of the inquiries brought to our office“That would amount to tax evasion.”These are concerns we hear from clients.
Non-resident status is central to international tax avoidance involving tax havens, alongside permanent establishments, withholding income tax, tax treaties, foreign tax systems, the 183-day rule, and exit tax. If you are interested in tax havens, I want you to gain accurate knowledge and reduce taxes properly.
For readers interested in using tax havens or already doing business overseas, this newsletter explains the basics of international tax in an accessible but rigorous way, drawing on actual disputes between taxpayers and the government.
Newsletter Content
The newsletter generally follows this format.
1. This Week's Analysis of Tax Haven and International Tax Disputes
2. International Tax Basics
3. Editor's Note
Each week, we examine one actual dispute involving a tax haven or international taxation.
We analyze the dispute, explain why the taxpayer won or lost, and explain the difficult technical terms in plain language.
Use these insights to help plan your overseas relocation or expansion.
Even if these ideas seem useful but relocating or expanding overseas feels impractical, the newsletter also shares announcements of seminars and events at half the regular participation fee. At these sessions, we explore your overseas relocation or expansion together in more practical detail.
